I haven't read a lot of books before, but To Kill a Mockingbird was one of the best books I have ever read. Last year I read To Kill a Mockingbird and it made me think a lot about how hard life was for people who had different skin color. The way that African Americans were treated is not right. A man, Tom Robinson, was accused of something he didn't do because he had a different skin color.
There was a white lawyer, Atticus, who was told to defend Tom in court. Atticus was a very smart man who failed to keep Tom out of jail, but was very friendly, and did everything he could. After the jury said Tom was guilty, Atticus was ashamed. This book made me change the way I look a people. It not their looks, but the way they act, and treat others.
I loved To Kill A Mocking Bird as well! I also completely agree on how you viewed the book! It changed how I see people too. Nice post David!
ReplyDeleteDavid, I completely agree with you, I thought To Kill a Mockingbird was a great book. Atticus was a great character.
ReplyDeleteDavid, I have to disagree with you it isn't that good of a book until the end. I felt like there was no plot line. But this is a great post and you explain it.
